Overview

Tamara Dean is an author living in Viroqua, Wisconsin who has recently published a new book, The Human-Powered Home. Tamara contacted me to design a website for the release of her new book which would provide book excerpts, showcase images of human-powered devices, and more.

I used WordPress as the backend for the site to manage all of the content and allow Tamara to easily edit her website. Each pages content can be edited, website statistics can be viewed, the gallery can be managed, the contact form submissions can be viewed, and more, all within the WordPress administration.

Technical Details

WordPress Backend – Handles the content management such as page content, gallery images, book praise, contact form and more.
PHP – Used to customize the functionality of the website.
CSS/XHTML – Used for layout, styling and markup within the site. The site contains all valid XHTML code.
Graphic Design – Designed website layout, and other website graphics.
