A Content Management System is basically just that, a way to manage content. All of your sites content (images, text, audio, video) is stored in a database and organized however you want it to be. To modify site content you login to a secure control panel where you make all the changes you need to. New pages can be created simply via a user friendly Word like editor and are saved into the database and viewable immediately. Images can be uploaded and inserted into pages via the editor or manipulated online to achieve the desired effects. Linking is as easy as highlighting and typing out a link address. Websites never seemed so easy!
